HEMA FREE 

(Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate)

  • Why it’s bad: Because its molecules are tiny, they easily penetrate skin cells. If it touches the skin before curing, it is the #1 cause of severe allergic contact dermatitis in the nail industry. TPO FREE

(Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide)
  • What it is: A traditional chemical curing agent (photoinitiator) used to harden gel polish under a lamp.
  • Why it’s bad: It was officially classified as a reprotoxic chemical (toxic to human reproduction and fertility). Because of this health risk, it was completely banned from cosmetics in the EU and UK in September 2025.
