3D Fruity Nails: Using Clear Builder To Create Juicy Nails 🍍🍉🍊

Love having acrylic nails and want to try your hand at doing them yourself? This week, Kenedi created a set that’s bursting with colour — juicy 3D fruits that look good enough to eat. Bright, bold, and full of dimension, these nails are all about summer energy with a glossy finish. Of course, every product is from Naio Nails and Urban Graffiti, proving just how creative you can get with the right tools.

We’ve put together a step-by-step look at how she created them, so you can try the design at home.

The products you’ll need

Step 1. Prep and base

  1. Push back and tidy cuticles, then cleanse with Nail Prep/Dehydrator.

  2. Apply Ultra Bond Acid Primer.

  3. Build a base using Shell Pink Acrylic Powder with Max Adhesion Acrylic Liquid.

  4. Apply Clear As Day BIAB for added strength, then cure.

Step 2. Fruity foundation

Kenedi mapped out her fruity designs using vibrant gel polishes:

  • Bottle Green and Clover Field for rinds and leaves

  • Tangerine Twist, Valencia Orange, and Sun Quenched for citrus segments

  • Guac and Matcha for the base of juicy melons

  • Buttercup and Snow White for pineapple texture

Each layer was carefully applied with her Resin Paint Palette and Fine Detail Brush, then cured before moving on.

Step 3. Building 3D details

To give the fruits their ultra-realistic look, Kenedi used Clear As Day BIAB to sculpt raised accents:

  • Watermelon seeds

  • Pineapple scales

  • Citrus wedges

Once cured, these 3D elements were painted with Serious Black, Snow White, and pops of Sour Plum for shading, making each fruit look mouth-wateringly realistic.

Step 4. Adding depth and shine

  • Highlights with Bare Hug and Guilt Trip gave the fruits a glossy, lifelike dimension.

  • Burgundy Chrome Pigment was blended into select accents for a juicy, wet-look sheen.

  • For contrast, Kenedi added bold pops of colour with Evil Queen, Courtesan, and B!tch — making the set feel even more vibrant.

Step 5. Seal and finish

  1. Apply Urban Graffiti Top Coat to lock in all those juicy details.

  2. Cure under the lamp, then wipe for a flawless finish.

  3. Optional: Add Bath Bomb Gel Polish to a few accents for sparkle and playful contrast.

The final reveal

The result? A set of 3D fruity nails so vibrant and juicy they look almost edible. From glossy citrus slices to textured pineapple and bold watermelon, Kenedi’s design proves that fruit-inspired nails can be just as high-fashion as they are fun. Bright, dimensional, and bursting with personality, these nails are a perfect pick-me-up whatever the season.
